Pig in the Park is proud to be part of the Whole Hog Series and is a North Carolina Pork Council–certified barbecue competition, ensuring a high-quality, professionally sanctioned event.
The top three teams from Pig in the Park will earn eligibility to compete in the North Carolina State Barbecue Championship, making this competition both prestigious and competitive.

The PIG IN THE PARK Cook-Off, its employees, representatives and contractors shall not be responsible or liable for the property of any team, any loss, damage or injury occurring to any team or its representatives. All property of the teams shall be under the care, custody and control of the team whether in transit to, from or within the PIG IN THE PARK Cook-Off.
In addition to the honor, cash prizes are up for grabs:
1st Place: $500 and a trophy
2nd Place: $300 and a trophy
3rd Place: $150 and a trophy
The excitement kicks off on Friday, April 17, at noon, as the cook teams set up and begin preparing their award-winning recipes at The HUB in Downtown Goldsboro.
