The Ultimate BBQ Showdown

This year’s Pig in the Park barbecue competition is certified by the NC Pork Council, ensuring top-notch standards and an unforgettable grilling experience. The stakes are high, as the top three teams will earn eligibility to compete at the prestigious North Carolina State Barbecue Championship!

  • Entry Fee only $50 Required –NON-REFUNDABLE

  • The Cook-Off Committee reserves the right to reject any application

  • The PIG IN THE PARK Cook-Off, its employees, representatives and contractors shall not be responsible or liable for the property of any team, any loss, damage or injury occurring to any team or its representatives.  All property of the teams shall be under the care, custody and control of the team whether in transit to, from or within the PIG IN THE PARK Cook-Off.

In addition to the honor, cash prizes are up for grabs:

1st Place: $500 and a trophy
2nd Place: $300 and a trophy
3rd Place: $150 and a trophy


The excitement kicks off on Friday, April 11, at noon, as the cook teams set up and begin preparing their award-winning recipes at The HUB in Downtown Goldsboro. Stop by to watch these talented teams in action as they gear up for the big day, and get a behind-the-scenes look at what makes their barbecue truly exceptional.

Join us on Saturday to taste the results and cheer on your favorite teams as they compete for barbecue glory!

ENTRY FEE PAYMENT INFORMATION

  • All Cook Teams applying for participation in PIG IN THE PARK must pay a non-refundable Application Fee, which is due at the time the application is submitted.

  • Applications that do not include payment at the time of submission will not be processed.

  • Cook Teams that withdraw will not have their fees refunded

  • There are no waivers of the fee and requests for reconsideration will not be considered.
