The purpose of this family-friendly event to be held April 9, 2011 is to spotlight Wayne County’s history and its barbecue tradition.  Up to 30 teams will compete in a whole hog cook off for the title of Wayne County’s Best Barbecue.  Arts and crafts vendors and family activities will be available from 9 AM to 4 PM at Waynesborough Historical Village in Goldsboro, NC.  Music will be performed from Noon to 4 PM.  In addition to sales of barbecue plate tickets, Wayne County Travel & Tourism, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County, and business sponsors are teaming up to raise money to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County. Our goal this year is to raise $20,000!
